Admission
Information
Students who
are interested in the alternative high school program must contact
their respective home school counselor before any application is
submitted to the Thomas J. Rubino Academy (TJRA).
All referrals to
TJRA must be authorized by the local school district. Districts can
contact TJRA to obtain an admissions
packet. Upon completion of the application, the sending district
must contact TJRA to schedule an intake interview for placement
consideration.

Student admission
to the program will be based on the following factors:

Student must
demonstrate a readiness
and willingness to participate in the program

Candidate must be a high school student.

Placement is
based on District Availability.
Interview Process The student,
parent(s)/guardian(s), and a representative from the Thomas J. Rubino
Academy will meet to assess the student’s appropriateness
for enrollment. A participating home school counselor may attend
the interview.
Upon completion
of the interview process, the participating home school district
will be notified of the student’s acceptance in the program.
